METAMORPHOSIS

Our bodies act as scales through which we measure our surrounding environment that accordingly gets modified to fit around it. Internally, our cleavage lines (Langer’s lines) can also be seen as topographical maps, defining the direction of where our skin is least flexible. However, this begs the question of the body’s ability to adapt to a new, foreign environment should it witness modifications in the form of colonization, industrial revolution, or technology.
